Rising from the ashes of the now defunct Black Mountain label, Heathen Skulls is a boutique record label and touring agency based in Melbourne, Australia. It’s owned and run by Robert MacManus and committed to the vision of releasing records for and touring mainly experimental, outsider, noisier, darker and heavier orientated artists.

Black Mountain was founded in 2001 as a label / agency specifically designed to accommodate Grey Daturas affairs. 
 In November 2005, to coincide with Yellow Swans Australian Tour and split release with Grey Daturas, Black Mountain changed its names to Heathen Skulls, mainly due to the Canadian band of the same name. Since 2005, Heathen Skulls has gone onto release for and tour some of the most respected artists in the underground, and with a committed vision, will continue to.
